We are pleased to be able to finally announce that the build will start.

We are pleased to be able to finally announce that the build will start… This Wednesday (October 8th) and should take 12-14 weeks. Behind the scenes the team at the Big Park Projects have been working hard to make this happen as soon as possible and are pleased that it will finally be underway.

This week the fencing should go up and ground works machines should arrive on site. We will post photos and updates as often as we can here (this should be daily) to keep you informed and show you progress.

Thanks for your continued support and patience.

The Final Designs

After a few weeks of user meetings, design meetings and site meetings the final designs have been completed and signed off. You should be able to get a sense of scale of the park, for example the bowl has a 3 1/2 ft, a bit over 5 ft and 7ft sections. The build will start towards the end of June and should take around 14 weeks to complete. We will be posting regular updates of the build whilst in progress.

We have a Winner!

We are pleased to announce that the Skate Park designers CANVAS have been chosen to design the Zero Degrees Skate Park at the Big Parks Project. Thank you to everyone who attended the workshop and voted online for their favourite design.

Next there will be two design development meetings on 3rd April for you to have your say on the chosen design.

Meetings will be held in the Pecaehaven Community School canteen from 3pm – 4.30pm  and from 6-7pm at the council offices, Meridian Centre in the Anzac rooms.

We hope to see you there but for now we’ll leave you with a little taster of one of designs that proved so popular with the skaters of Peacehaven.
